IQF or individual quick freezing means freezing products quickly and separately, this is one of the new methods of freezing products in Iran, which has taken an important place in the country’s food industry.
Freezing is one of the principles of preserving food products, which has long been of interest to early humans.

Types of IQF:

1- Tunnel IQF: These tunnels are used in food production units for immediate freezing of products such as vegetables, shrimp, chicken, fruit, etc. ,

The products that are frozen in these tunnels completely preserve the freshness and original properties, and the grains or product components do not stick to each other and are completely separate. The freezing tunnel with a conveyor belt is suitable for freezing food with a capacity of 200 kg to 5 tons per hour.

2- Cabinet IQF: You can freeze food with greater thicknesses easily. In this method, the food items are arranged in special trays and placed inside the cabinets. After the cabinet door is closed, liquid nitrogen is sprayed on the food items and causes them to freeze, then the cabinet door is opened, and the trays are taken out. This method can be repeated without limit of times

3-Box-type IQF : Box-type IQF is suitable for laboratory centers, blood transfusion and artificial insemination for quick freezing of laboratory samples, sperm, blood and other blood products such as plasma.
